Tortillas Stack Tampico

1¼ cups shredded, cooked chicken
1 pkg. Lawry® Taco Spices and Seasonings
1 cup water
1 8oz. can tomato sauce
8 medium corn tortillas
2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 4oz. can whole green chilies, rinsed and seeded
½ cup salsa
Sliced green onions

In large skillet, combine chicken, Taco Seasonings, water and tomato sauce.
Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered 10 minutes.

Lightly grease 12 x 8 baking dish. Dip tortillas in chicken mixture. Place
2 tortillas in bottom of baking dish. Top with ½ of chicken mixture.
Sprinkle with 2/3 cup cheese and top with 2 more tortillas. Layer chilies
on top of tortillas. Sprinkle 2/3 cup of cheese over chilies. Top with
2 more tortillas and remaining chicken mixture. Top with remaining 2 tortillas.
Pour salsa over tortillas.

Garnish with remaining cheese and green onions. Bake, uncovered at 350° for
15 to 20 minutes or until heated through and cheese melts. Cut each stack
into quarters to serve and garnish with sour cream, if desired.

Makes 8 servings
