Southern Biscuit Muffins

2½ cups flour
¼ cup sugar
1½ tbsp. baking powder
¾ cup margarine
1 cup cold milk

Grease 12 muffin cups. (These muffins brown better on the sides and bottom when baked without paper liners).

In large bowl, combine flour, sugar and baking powder. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk just until flour mixture is moistened.

Spoon into muffin cups. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes or until golden. Remove from pan. Cool on wire rack. Serve with jelly, jam or honey.
