1 pkg Duncan Hines® Moist Deluxe Butter Recipe Golden cake mix
3 eggs
2/3 cup water
½ cup margarine, melted
1 8oz pkg. Philadelphia Brand® cream cheese, softened
2/3 cup sugar
1/ 4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. milk
1 21oz can Solo® cherry pie filling
Grease and flour two 9” round glass cake layer pans. Combine dry cake mix, eggs, margarine and water in large bowl. Mix and bake and cool as directed on packge. Refrigerate cake layers to make splitting easier. Split each
layer into 2 thin layers.
Beat cream cheese, sugar, nutmeg and milk until blended. Place 1 layer on a cake plate. Spread with ½ cup of cream cheese filling; top with ½ cup
cherry filling. Repeat layers ending with a cake layer. Spread remaining
cream cheese filling over top layer and top with remaining cherry filing.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
12 to 16 servings
