Strawberry Angel Food Bavarian

1 pkg Duncan Hines® Angel Food Cake Mix
1 pkg 10 oz frozen sweetened sliced strawberries, thawed
1 pkg Jell-O® Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
1 cup boiling water
2½ cups Deans® whipping cream, chilled and divided
2½ tbsp. confectioners' sugar
3/4 tsp. vanilla
4 fresh strawberries, sliced and fanned for garnish

Prepare, bake, and cool cake according to directions on pkg. Cut cooled cake into 1" cubes. Set aside.

Drain thawed strawberries, reserving juice. Set aside.

Combine gelatin and boiling water in small bowl. Stir until gelatin is dissolved. Add enough water to reserved juice to measure 1 cup; then stir in gelatin. Refrigerator until gelatin is slightly thickened. Beat gelatin until it becomes foamy.

In large bowl, Beat 1 cup whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Fold in gelatin, along with thawed strawberries.

Alternate layers cake cubes and strawberry gelatin mixture into 10" tube pan. Press lightly. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Unmold cake onto serving plate. Beat remaining whipping cream, confectioners' sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.

Frost sides and top of cake. Refrigerate until ready to serve Garnish fresh strawberries.

12 to 16 servings
