Swedish Apple Cake

1 cup packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. salt
1 cup water
2 Tbsp. margarine
1 20oz can Comestack® Apple Pie Filling
1 pkg Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Lemon Supreme cake mix
3 large eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1¼ cups water

For sauce, combine brown sugar, flour, nutmeg and salt in small glass baking dish. Gradually stir in 1 cup water. Add margarine; set aside.

Spread apple pie filling in 13 x 9” glass baking pan. Combine dry cake mix, eggs, oil and 1¼ cups water in large bowl. Mix as directed on package. Spread batter evenly over apples.

Bake cake and sauce for 43 to 48 minutes at 350° or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

To serve, spoon warm cake and apples in a serving bowl and top with sauce.
