2 cups sliced celery
1½ cups chopped onion
½ cup margarine
1-3/4 cups hot water
1 tbsp. chicken-flavor bouillon cubes
12 cups dry bread cubes
3 cups coarsely chopped apple
1 cup toasted slivered almonds
1 tbsp. chopped parsley
2 tsp. poultry seasoning
¼ tsp. sage
Rich Turkey Gravy:
14 to 1/3 cup flour
¼ cup pan drippings
2 cups hot water
2 tsp. Knorr’s® chicken flavor instant bouillon
In large skillet, cook celery and onion in margarine until tender. Add water
and bouillon; cook until bouillon dissolves.
In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients expect Gravy; add bouillon
mixture. Mix well. Loosely stuff turkey just before roasting. Place
remaining stuffing in greased baking dish. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or
until hot. Reserve ¼ cup of pan drippings.
To prepare Gravy: In medium skillet, stir flour into reserved pan drippings;
cook and stir until dark brown. Stir in hot water and bouillon; cook and
stir unit thickened and bouillon is dissolved.
Serve with Turkey, if desired. Refrigerate leftovers.
